Mapping Europe's Air Pollution Together

The second day of the Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange project "Pollution Pandemic" (Project Code: 2025-1-RO01-KA152-YOU-000299532) continued under the coordination of the Green Empowerment Association in Iași, Romania, with participants exploring the geographical and environmental dimensions of air pollution across Europe.

Supported by partner organizations Kabataş Ticaret Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi (Türkiye), Felix Unicornis (Lithuania), Tomorrow Together e.V. (Germany), and ICDET (Bulgaria), participants took part in the "Mapping Air Pollution" activity. Working in international teams, they researched pollution hotspots, identified major sources of emissions, and visualized environmental challenges affecting their countries. By comparing regional data and discussing common concerns, participants gained a broader understanding of how air pollution transcends national borders.

The day continued with "Designing an Air-Friendly Household," where participants explored the often-overlooked issue of indoor air pollution. Through creative design exercises, they identified household products, appliances, and daily habits that negatively influence indoor air quality while proposing sustainable alternatives. These practical activities strengthened participants' environmental awareness and encouraged them to adopt healthier lifestyles that contribute to cleaner living environments.
